    Two friends, a lot of plastic stools, and a city worth sharing

    We’re Olly and Nick, two friends from the UK who fell hard for Saigon’s energy, its food, its bars and the people behind them. As we explored, we kept finding brilliant independent places flying under the radar: great restaurants, indie cafés and bars that were struggling to reach the people who’d love them most.

    So we built Saigon Scene, to connect locals, expats and visitors with the best of the city while helping independent businesses grow.

    What is Saigon Scene?

    Saigon Scene is an independent city guide to Ho Chi Minh City. We publish 166 guides to eating, drinking and things to do, run a live map of 145 happy hours, and partner with 88 independent venues that give members an offer.

    Is Saigon Scene free?

    Yes. The guides, the happy-hour map and the weekly email are free, with no account needed. Member offers at partner venues come with Scene Pass, from 49,900₫ a month on the annual plan.

    How do member offers work?

    Open your Scene Pass at a partner venue and show it when you pay. Staff confirm it with a short PIN on your phone, and the discount comes off the bill. Most partners give 10 to 20% off, and every offer is listed on the venue's partner page.

    Which areas of Saigon do you cover?

    All of Ho Chi Minh City, with the most venues in District 1, Thảo Điền (District 2), Bình Thạnh, District 3 and District 7. Addresses show the new ward names from July 2025 next to the old district names.
